Busch Aims to Give Team Owner and Sponsors Win at Home Track

There’s nothing that can boost your enthusiasm or confidence more than having an incentive to perform well.  Such is the case this weekend for the No. 15 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team of Billy Ballew Motorsports as they head to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Easy Care Vehicle Service Contracts 200.  Team owner Ballew, a native of Blairsville, Ga., has signed on numerous local sponsors to support the efforts of the No. 15 team at his home track, and with 20-year-old Kyle Busch behind the wheel, Ballew and the team are anxious to return to the fast mile 1.54-mile track in hopes of picking up their third victory this season.

No less than six Georgia-based companies have agreed to come on board for the race on Saturday afternoon.  National Land Liquidations, B & G General Store, Krud Kutter, Woodstock Furniture Outlet, Spondivits and Terry Reid Automotive will all be featured on the No. 15 Chevrolet Silverado.

“I’m pleased to announce such a large contingency of sponsors for us at Atlanta,” said Ballew. “This is my home track so it’s nice to have the support of local companies that want to get involved with Billy Ballew Motorsports.  We hope to capture the victory on our home turf and give these companies a reward for backing us and helping our endeavors.”

National Land Liquidations and B & G General Store will adorn the hood of the No. 15 Chevrolet.  National Land Liquidations and B & G General Store are both online auction stores selling everything from real estate to generic household items.  Krud Kutter, a water-based, biodegradable, non-toxic cleanser produced by Supreme Chemicals of Cumming, Ga., will be an associate sponsor and featured on the lower quarter panels.

Also highlighted on the No. 15 National Land Liquidations/Krud Kutter Chevrolet will be Sprint’s Sound & Speed 2006 presented by SunTrust.  Sound & Speed is a two-day festival held in Nashville, Tenn. January 13 and 14, 2006 where the Sound of country music and the Speed of NASCAR come together in an effort to raise funds for the Victory Junction Gang Camp and The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum charities.

As for Busch, he’s just excited about heading to another track with the intent of pulling off the win.  However, Atlanta Motor Speedway is a little bit different than most tracks the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visit.

“Trucks punch such a big hole in the air and it’s a little different than any other race I have run in them,” said Busch.  “The closest thing to that would be the Michigan race and that was really fun. We sat on the pole and challenged for the win but just ran out of laps. Atlanta is a place where you can go and hold it wide open for eight to ten laps, then you have to back it down a little to save your stuff. The winner will be the person who can hold it down the longest. It’s not a race where you can get out front and leave the field behind. There will be a pack of trucks running together up front. I think that race will be pretty fun for us.”

The Easy Care Vehicle Service Contracts 200 gets underway at 3:15 p.m. from Atlanta Motor Speedway.  The race will be broadcast live on SPEED Channel and PRN Radio.
