Looks to Score Back-to-Back Victories for the Second Time this Season
Next Up for Busch and Billy Ballew Motorsports: Texas Motor Speedway

Kyle Busch and the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports team look to repeat their victory from last week at Atlanta Motor Speedway this Friday night at the Texas Motor Speedway.  Should Busch pick up the win in the Silverado 350K it will be the second time this season the team has captured NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victories back-to-back, with other wins coming at Lowe’s Motor Speedway and Dover International Speedway.

Fresh off the victory last weekend, the team is excited to head to Texas Motor Speedway, a track very similar to Atlanta Motor Speedway and Lowe’s Motor Speedway, where they picked up their first win this season.  Also running off the excitement from last week’s win are ditech.com, who returns to the No. 15, and National Land Liquidations, who made their first appearance on Billy Ballew’s truck at Atlanta.

“We’re glad to have these two fine sponsors back on board with us,” said Ballew.  “National Land Liquidations was so pleased after Atlanta that they have decided to back us for the remainder of the year.  It was an exciting win at Atlanta, my home track, and I am especially proud of the efforts the crew and Kyle produced.  If there ever was a place I wanted a victory, it would be Atlanta.”

Busch heads to Texas after a brief visit to his hometown of Las Vegas for an appearance at the SEMA show.  Not only has his week already been busy with signing autographs and posing for pictures, Busch’s schedule gets more hectic after arriving in Texas where he will compete in all three of NASCAR’s top series, but his odds are good for picking up win number four in the No. 15 ditech.com/National Land Liquidations Chevrolet.

“It’s going to be a full weekend because I am running in all three series,” said Busch.  “I ran a truck race there in 2001 and qualified third. Rick Crawford was in front of me and a couple lapped trucks slowed me up – I got pinched up off of turn four and Ricky Hendrick was behind me. He got along side of me to pass me and took all the air off of my spoiler and I ended up spinning out and wrecking. I had a great run there and I am looking forward to getting back there and running somewhat like we did at Lowe’s Motor Speedway when we won in the No. 15 Silverado.”

Another reason Busch aims to do well at Texas is because of special guest recording artist Charlie Robison, who will be atop the pit box during the race.  Robison, a native Texan singer/songwriter known for saying what’s on his mind and letting the chips fall where they may, was invited to be a guest of Billy Ballew Motorsports by Frank Bolter, the team’s spotter, who inquired off Robison’s web site.  Robison resides in Bandera, Texas with his wife Emily of the Dixie Chicks, son Gus and six month old twins, Julianna and Henry.

“I have been a NASCAR fan forever and I am totally excited to have been asked to be a part of such a great event,” said Robison.  “I think it is going to be so cool to be down in the infield and get to see the nuts and bolts of the whole racing operation.”
