Grubb Collects 14th at MemphisKevin Grubb drove his No. 15 Spondivits Chevrolet for Billy Ballew Motorsports to a 14th place finish this past Saturday night at Memphis Motorsports Park. Making his second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start in 2006, Grubb battled a tight condition for a majority of the race while running in the top-10, but fell back at the conclusion of the O’Reilly 200 to finish in 14th position.

“I had a good time out there,” said Grubb. “I, at least, got a top-20 finish. I was hoping to do better, but the Billy Ballew Motorsports team did a good job and we got a good finish. We struggled throughout the race being tight in the center. The longer we ran, the worse we were. We were able to adjust on our pit stops but it just wasn’t quite enough. I knew when we qualified, the No. 15 Spondivits Chevy was tight, but since we were under impound, we were forced to leave it as it was and wait until our first pit stop to adjust.” (more…)

Although Memphis is known for their Blues music, Kevin Grubb hopes he won’t be feeling the blues when he returns to the seat of the No. 15 Spondivits Chevrolet for Billy Ballew Motorsports this weekend at Memphis Motorsports Park. Grubb made his first start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since 1997 last week at Kentucky Speedway and racked up a 21st place finish. This weekend, Grubb is even more excited to head to Memphis Motorsports Park for the O’Reilly 200.

“I’m looking forward to racing at Memphis more than I was about Kentucky,” said Grubb, a native of Mechanicsville, Va. “I’ve had a lot of success on the short tracks, such as my home track, Richmond (International Raceway). They’re shaped alike and you drive both tracks pretty similar. I’ve ran well at Memphis in the past in the Busch car so I’m really looking anxious to get on the track.” (more…)

Kevin Grubb hasn’t been in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck since 1997, but his performance this past weekend at Kentucky Speedway doesn’t show that the time away was a setback. His return to the series produced a 21st place finish for the No. 15 Woodard Pools Chevrolet team of Billy Ballew Motorsports. Although the team’s finish wasn’t what they were hoping for, Grubb gives the team optimism as he ran in the top-15 a majority of the race.

Grubb made his return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, piloting the No. 15 Woodard Pools Chevrolet for team owner Billy Ballew. Originally scheduled to drive BBM’s second entry, an early-week change in the lineup moved Grubb to the No. 15. Grubb was positive heading to Kentucky, a track he had just raced on three weeks earlier in the NASCAR Busch Series. Grubb practiced in the top-10 and qualified 15th for the 150-lap event. (more…)

Billy Ballew, owner of Billy Ballew Motorsports, announces 20-year-old Indianapolis native Kyle Krisiloff will no longer drive the No. 15 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Kevin Grubb will take over the No. 15 for this weekend’s race at Kentucky Speedway, as well as next week’s event at Memphis Motorsports Park. Billy Ballew Motorsports is currently 24th in the owners’ points standings.

“Due to a lack of payment and breach of contract by Steve Krisiloff, Kyle’s father, and 21st Century Technology, Inc., Kyle Krisiloff will no longer be the driver of the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet,” states Ballew. “We are very upset about this and now it is in the hands of the attorneys. We plan on filing a lawsuit immediately.” (more…)
