Busch Takes On Texas Motor Speedway with Freedom Grill
November 2, 2006Also Promoting the Launch of KyleBusch.com
Kyle Busch returns to the No. 15 Chevrolet for Billy Ballew Motorsports after taking last week’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway off to allow Jeremy Mayfield to pilot. Busch competed at Texas Motor Speedway in last year’s Silverado 350K and garnered a third place finish with hopes of returning to improve on his position. Busch will be competing in all three events this weekend, which will keep him pretty busy. A win in Friday night’s race will kick the weekend off right for Busch.
“I am looking forward to it,” said Busch. “We are going to take the same four springs and shocks with us that we had at Charlotte, and hopefully the No.15 Freedom Grill/KyleBusch.com Chevrolet will run as well here as it did there and we can have another win under our belts. Texas, for some reason, I have always been fast there, but never when it seems to count. I led a lot of laps there last year, and we finished third. I know (Todd) Bodine won, and I am not sure who finished second, but we got beat out by just a little bit. We just need to make our stuff a little bit faster at the end of the run.”
Freedom Grill returns to the No. 15 Chevrolet after their first foray into NCTS with BBM at New Hampshire earlier this year. Freedom Grill, “The Official Grill of Tailgating,” manufactures cooking grills made especially for the tailgate enthusiast. Offering three different models, Freedom Grill is taking the tailgating industry by storm with their signature “outside of the vehicle” design. The grills attach to the trailer hitch of a vehicle allowing customers to cook and travel with the grill outside the back of the vehicle, offering no-mess, no-fuss tailgating.
A bit of self-promotion can never hurt. The No. 15 is emblazoned with KyleBusch.com along the quarterpanels. KyleBusch.com is launching Friday, the day of the truck race, so fans tuning into watch the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race can then head to their computers to check out KyleBusch.com. KyleBusch.com features typical information such as Kyle’s bio, race results and news. Fans will also be able to ask Kyle a question, download Busch’s favorite tunes, view pictures from previous races, as well as personal pictures, and sign up for Busch’s Fan Club. “I’m excited to launch KyleBusch.com,” said Busch. “The animation and design is really neat. There are lots of cool things on there and hope everyone will log on and check it out.”
The No. 15 Chevrolet will also carry the logos of Sustain Records featuring recording artists Drew Kennedy and Kevin Fowler. Sustain Records is a Texas-based independent label distributed in the United States by Universal Music and Video Distribution. Sustain is a label committed to releasing music made by unique artists and dedicated to singers who write songs.
The Silverado 350K gets underway at 9:15 p.m. EST from the Texas Motor Speedway. The race will be broadcast live on SPEED Channel beginning at 8:30 p.m. EST and on MRN Radio.
