Successful Send-Off for Sutton
June 24, 2007Kelly Sutton, in possibly her last race of the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, had a successful sendoff Friday night in the running of the Milwaukee 200 at the famed Milwaukee Mile.
Sutton, who suffered from a respiratory infection this weekend, took to the track in the No. 51 Team COPAXONE® (glatiramer acetate injection) Chevrolet Silverado placing it solidly in the 36 truck starting field after posting a time of 30.313 seconds at a speed of 118.761 mph.
The team took to the track that evening with eager anticipation to have a solid finish in the 200-lap/200-mile NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race for Sutton, who is currently seeking additional sponsorship to run additional races this year, (more…)
Sutton To Extend Her Record at The Milwaukee Mile
June 20, 2007Kelly Sutton will extend her record for most starts by a female driver this weekend by making her 54th start while piloting the No. 51 Team COPAXONE® (glatiramer acetate injection) Chevrolet Silverado for the running of the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at The Milwaukee Mile Friday, June 22, 2007.
This is the fifth consecutive year that a female driver has competed at The Milwaukee Mile. Sutton has her eye on becoming the highest finishing female when she takes to the track for the 200-lap event by beating a 24th place finish made by Deborah Renshaw in 2005. In the past four years, the female drivers in the series have finished 25th, 24th, 25th and 25th at the famed one-mile oval racetrack. (more…)
Wisconsin More Then Another Race Weekend for Billy Ballew Motorsports
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series heads to The Milwaukee Mile this weekend for the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 race Friday, June 22, 2007. For Billy Ballew Motorsports, heading to Wisconsin is more than another week on the road. For five team members including one of Billy Ballew Motorsports crew chiefs, Richie Wauters, Wisconsin means home.
Wauters, his brother, the hauler driver, chief mechanic, fabricator and the rest of the Wisconsinites will all have family in attendance cheering on Bill Lester who will pilot the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the 11th race of the 25 race season. (more…)
LOOSE LEAVES LESTER OUT OF TOP-10 IN MICHIGAN
June 18, 2007Bill Lester took to the track at the Michigan International Speedway Saturday afternoon with his best start of the 2007 season. Lester put the No. 15 *Christian Debt Consolidation Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the fifth place position on the grid after running just one lap and posting a time of 40.500 seconds at a speed of 177.778 mph.
The drop of the green flag in the mid-afternoon heat just after final NEXTEL Cup practice left the track slick and with Lester having a free truck he had his work cut out for him. Lester held on to the truck but slid and clipped the wall slightly not sustaining any major damage. Lester kept the truck under control and was able to stay in the top-15 pack throughout the race only coming to pit road for Goodyear tires, air pressure and track bar adjustments. (more…)
