Busch and Ballew Runners-up in Michigan

Kyle Busch in the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado brought home his second runner-up finish at the Michigan International Speedway in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Saturday, June 16.  In his first run at MIS for Billy Ballew Motorsports in 2005, Busch also finished in the second place.

Busch still holds the track record for the pole speed he set at that first run for Ballew in 2005. This time he placed the Flanders Beef Patties Silverado in the third place position on the starting grid with a time of 40.444 seconds at a speed of 178.024 mph.  When the green flag waved for the start of the 100 lap 200 mile race, it didn’t take long for Busch to pick up the point position and lead four times for a total of 38 laps.  The most laps lead of the day. FAMILY FOCUS THIS WEEKEND FOR LESTER

As NASCAR Drivers time with their families is shortened by the lengthy race schedules each series has, so every moment they can capture together at or away from the racetrack is precious. This weekend Bill Lester will not only be heading to the Michigan International Speedway for the 10th race of the 25 race NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, but will also be having a mini family reunion.

Lester, his wife Cheryl and two sons Alex and Austin will be joining his sister and her family along with his parents to celebrate Father’s Day together. Lester credits his father for his success; not only on the race track, in school or during his tenure at HP, but mainly for motivation and support his dad has shown no matter what he has chosen to do. BALLEW AND BUSCH READY FOR A NCTS BATTLE IN BROOKLYN

Brooklyn, MI (June 13, 2007) -Kyle Busch will be once again piloting the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in Saturdays Michigan 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event. Busch and Ballew hope to bring home the win after such a strong performance in Dover where Busch was in contention for the win until a tire forced him to give up the lead and go down pit road.

Busch has one previous start at the Michigan International Speedway for Billy Ballew Motorsports; in 2005 Busch not only took the pole for the Craftsman Series race he broke the track record with a time of 39.645 seconds and a speed of 181.612 mph, which still stands today. (more…)

Disappointment Derails Day in Fort Worth

Kelly Sutton headed into her third race of her four race schedule in the No. 51 Team COPAXONE® (glatiramer acetate injection) Chevrolet Silverado with high hopes for her run Sam’s Town 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway last Friday.

Sutton had a solid qualifying run posting a time of 30.321 seconds at a speed of 178.094 mph placing her in the 21st place position on the starting grid. Despite having the second fastest speed out on the race track according to the NASCAR Loop statistics, Sutton unfortunately had an early incident which put her out of the race on lap six. Sutton felt a tire go down, pushed up the racetrack and into the wall tearing up the truck and ending her night. (more…)
