BILLY BALLEW MOTORSPORTS AND KYLE BUSCH BACK TOGETHER AGAIN IN BRISTOL

NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Kyle Busch and Billy Ballew will be back together again for the short-track showdown at the Bristol Motor Speedway Wednesday, August 22, 2007 for the running of the O’Reilly 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

Busch will be making his first appearance back in the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Chevrolet Silverado since his runner-up finish at the Michigan International Speedway June 16th. The No. 51 Chevrolet Silverado will be making its first run since Aric Almirola piloted the FedEx Express Chevrolet Silverado truck at the Memphis Motorsports Park June 30th. (more…)

MONTEITH ON-BOARD WITH BALLEW FOR BRISTOL

Billy Ballew Motorsports announced today that Nate Monteith will take the wheel of the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Monteith, 26, whose hometown is Bristol, Tenn., has made two previous starts in the NASCAR Busch Series (Nazareth and IRP), both coming in 2001. Monteith has one previous qualifying attempt at Bristol Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2001.

“We are excited to have Nate Monteith onboard in the No. 15 for Bristol. He is a strong driver with a lot of undiscovered talent,” team owner Billy Ballew said. (more…)

Turn Takes Out Tow and Top-Five Hopes

Bill Lester and the No. 15 Bowen Family Homes Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado team took to the track on Saturday afternoon with high hopes after their qualifying run placed the team in the sixth place position on the starting grid for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Toyota 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway.

After struggling in practice to find the right combination, Lester went out to qualify for the 150 lap / 200 mile event unsure of how the truck would perform.  Crew chief Doug George’s changes after practice seemed to stick with Lester posting a qualifying run of 30.291 seconds at a speed of 158.423 mph. Lester Looking for Season’s Best in Nashville

Bill Lester looks to score his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series seasons best finish Saturday at the Nashville Superspeedway in the No. 15 Bowen Family Homes Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado.

Lester has run six previous races at the 1 .33-mile “D”-shaped concrete oval, posting both his best start of second and his best finish of seventh place in 2005.  Lester has also led 22 laps at the Lebanon, TN speedway.  The Billy Ballew Motorsports team has five previous runs at the Nashville track with a best start of fifth and a best finish in the 11th place position both in 2005.  Lester will take to the track for the 150 lap, 200-mile race Saturday afternoon in chassis number 22, which is the same truck the team had their season to date best finish of eighth in at the Kentucky Speedway last month.
