NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver Kyle “Rowdy” Busch is playing double duty this weekend at the New Hampshire International Speedway.  Busch will drive in Sunday’s SYLVANIA 300 Nextel Cup Series race but will also be back behind the wheel of the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado Saturday for the running of the New Hampshire 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

Busch has been a front runner and favored in his two previous starts for Ballew at the Loudon, New Hampshire race track, leading 51 laps and finishing in the third place position in 2006.  But Busch could also make history Saturday if he wins the New Hampshire 200. He and his brother 2004 NEXTEL Cup Champion Kurt Busch would become the first brothers to win the same race at the famed New Hampshire International Speedway.  The elder brother Kurt Busch won driving for Jack Roush in 2000 at the 1.058-mile oval speedway.

Including his two previous starts in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Busch has a long list of statistics in the both the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series at NHIS. Busch has five previous Nextel Cup Series starts posting one win, two top-five and two top-10 finishes, he has two previous starts in the NASCAR Busch Series with one top-five, two top-ten finishes and has one pole award.  Billy Ballew Motorsports has posted its best start at the New Hampshire Int’l Speedway of eighth in 2004 with the team’s best finish of third place with Busch in 2006.

“We were really tight last year in the truck except when in clean air,” Busch said. “Once I got upfront into the lead I had all the air I needed but was getting killed through the corners.  I was able to lead a few laps but Benson and Skinner were both able to get around me and we brought home third.  I’m sure Richie (Wauters, crew chief) and the guys on the Billy Ballew Motorsports team have taken a look at the tight conditions from last year and have it all figured out for this Saturday.  It’s always a lot of fun to get out there in these trucks and I hope to bring home a win for Billy and all the guys that work on these trucks.”

Sunday’s NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race will also be Busch’s first race of 10 races in the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup for the 2007 Series Championship.

Flanders Beef Patties has joined with Billy Ballew Motorsports as the primary sponsor of the No. 51 Chevrolet Silverado this weekend.  Flanders Beef Patties has been the primary sponsor on Busch’s truck at Dover, Michigan and Bristol as well as the primary sponsor for Kenny Wallace in the No. 51 and JR Norris driving the No. 15 at the Gateway International Raceway.
