New Hampshire Post Race Notes
September 15, 2007Shane Sieg in his first run for Billy Ballew Motorsports in the No. 15 Swift Transportation Chevrolet Silverado brought home a tenth place finish in the New Hampshire 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. Qualifying was canceled due to rain at the New Hampshire International Speedway lining up the starting grid by owner points placing Sieg in the 21st place for the 200 lap race.
Billy Ballew Motorsports fielded a second truck in the 18th race of the 25 race NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. Not running for points, moonlighting NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Kyle Busch piloted the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Chevrolet Silverado started in the 31st position for Saturday afternoon’s event. Busch quickly advanced through the field moving to the tenth place position by lap 52. On lap 88 while racing for the sixth place position, Busch got into the wall causing frontend splitter damage. In young Busch’s style he persevered running times as fast at the leader. Again running for position while still in the top-10 Busch got loose spinning clipping the wall on lap 140. The suspension damaged was too severe ending the night early for the team on the 1.06-mile New Hampshire race track.
