Daytona Beach, FL (AHN) – Roush Fenway Racing driver Joey Clanton was quick to point the finger at NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Kyle Busch for the first of two incidents during NASCAR Preseason Thunder practice, but the video clearly exonerated Joe Gibbs Racing’s newest driver.

With less than an hour left in Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series test at Daytona International Speedway, the No. 6 Ford of Colin Braun shot up into the wall and collected Roush Fenway Racing teammate Clanton. (more…)

Pre-Season Testing Day 1

Kyle Busch just climbed behind the wheel of the No. 51 Billy Ballew Motorsports Toyota Tundra Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Daytona International Speedway in preparation for his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the famed Daytona Beach Speedway.

Busch has one win at the 2.5-mile tri-oval last posted July 2007 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He has yet to find victory in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series but has finished second twice. (July 2006, 2007) Busch hopes to carry forward the momentum from 2006 for Billy Ballew Motorsports where he scored two wins and a close second in the final race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Sutton Family Suffers Loss

Ed Sutton, father of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver, Kelly Sutton, passed away December 30 in Crownsville, MD at the age of 61.  Sutton followed in his father’s footsteps into the world of Motorsports, racing locally in Maryland.  Sutton began drag racing, but quickly moved into Figure 8 racing and eventually oval tracks in the early 1980s throughout the east.  Sutton passed his racing legacy on to his daughter, Kelly, in 1991, establishing Capitol City Motorsports and launching her racing career.  In 2003, Sutton built Sutton Motorsports and took his daughter’s career to one of the top levels of NASCAR – the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
