Mitchell Looks To Continue Short Track Success

· Marc Mitchell has never raced at Memphis Motorsports Park prior to the O’Reilly 200.
· The O’Reilly 200 will mark Mitchell’s third start this season at a track one mile in length or less.
· The last race Mitchell competed on a track one mile or less was at the Milwaukee Mile, which yielded a ninth-place start and 15th place finish. (more…)
Rebound Brings Blissful Finish for Ballew
June 21, 2008Mike Bliss piloting the No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Toyota Tundra brought home a 12th place finish for Billy Ballew Motorsports Friday night in the running of the Camping World RV Sales 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Milwaukee Mile.
Bliss and the No. 51 Miccosukee Toyota Tundra team struggled with tight conditions in practice that continued into qualifying placing the truck in the 19th place position for the 200 lap event. (more…)
Mitchell Claims Fifteenth-Place in Milwaukee
Marc Mitchell drove the Ergon Toyota to a fifteenth place finish in the Camping World RV Sales 200 at the Milwaukee Mile. Mitchell’s finish was the highest among the rookie class, and marked his third top-15 of the season.
The Ergon Tundra started the race from the ninth position. The #15 machine was “tight from the center off” in the early goings of the event, allowing five competitors to slide by Mitchell on the first green flag run. Fortunately Mitchell was able to make up the lost positions with a gutsy pit strategy by crew chief Doug George – Mitchell remained on the track after several trucks entered pit road for service. An auspicious caution flag waved on lap 70, before Mitchell made his trip down pit road, which moved him into fourth place. During the yellow flag, the crew changed Mitchell’s tires, topped off the fuel cell and made a track bar adjustment to loosen up the truck. (more…)
Qualifying Notes
June 20, 2008The Ergon Toyota will start in ninth place for the Camping World RV Sales 200 at the Milwaukee Mile. Marc Mitchell’s lap of 30.055 seconds around the one-mile oval secured his spot on the inside of row five for tonight’s event. Mitchell was the second-fastest rookie of the qualifying session.
