Bliss Behind Wheel for Ballew

Mike Bliss will be back in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this weekend behind the wheel of the No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Toyota Tundra for the running of the Camping World RV Sales 200 at the famed Milwaukee Mile. Bliss, who is the 2002 Craftsman Truck Series Champion, has eight starts at the Milwaukee Mile with one win, four top-five and six top-10 finishes. Billy Ballew Motorsports best finish in eight starts was 11th in 2002 with Rich Bickle. Together Bliss and Ballew would like to change that and bring home a win at the historic one-mile track.

Mitchell Ready to Rebound

Milwaukee Mile Fast Facts:

· Last season’s Nationwide Series race at the Milwaukee Mile is Mitchell’s only prior start at the track.  Mitchell started 31st and finished 20th.

· The Camping World RV Sales 200 will be Mitchell’s second start on a track one mile or less this season.

· The last race Mitchell competed on a track one mile or less was at Mansfield Motorsports Park, in which he started 8th and finished 26th.

· Mitchell went skydiving with the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachuting team last Tuesday. (more…)

Flat Tire Spoils Top-Five for Mitchell

A flat right-front tire brought a hasty end to a top-five run for Marc Mitchell.  The rookie from Tallahassee, Fla. was running in fourth-place in the closing stages of the Cool City Customs 200 at the two-mile Michigan International Speedway when his Goodyear Wrangler cut down, forcing him to make an unscheduled pit stop.  The Ergon team kept the No. 15 Toyota on the lead lap for the remainder of the event, allowing Mitchell to come home in the 22nd position.

Mitchell started the race from the outside of row six.  His truck was “a little free” in the initial stages, so crew chief Doug George called for minor track bar and wedge adjustments to loosen up the Ergon Tundra when the team made its first pit stop, lap 38. (more…)

Ballew has Solid Points Day at MIS

Kyle Busch took to the track in the No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Billy Ballew Motorsports Toyota Tundra for the running of the Cool City Customs 200 NACAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Michigan International Speedway Saturday, June 14 in the sixth place position after qualifying with a time of 41.259 seconds at a speed of 174.507 mph.

After the start of the 100 lap, 200 mile race, Busch quickly advanced on the wide speedway running three wide. Busch reported tight conditions to crew chief Richie Wauters making their first pit stop of the day under the green flag on lap 35 while in the seventh position. The team made wedge, track bar and air adjustments to help free up the Toyota Tundra going back out on the track in the 18th place position. (more…)
