Busch Back with Ballew at World Center of Racing
Daytona Beach, FL
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series phenom Kyle “Rowdy” Busch will take to the track Friday, February 13, 2009 for the running of the NextEra Energy Resources 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the World Center of Racing. This will be Busch’s second start at the 2.5-mile famed Daytona International Speedway for Ballew. The first came in 2008 where Busch brought home a second place finish. This year Busch is back in the No. 51 Miccosukee Resort Tundra looking to improve a position looking for a win in the 2009 Series Season opener.
“I always enjoy running in the Truck Series, so I’m looking forward to running some races again with Billy (Ballew) this year,” Busch said. “It’s a great series and the racing is always great. As for Daytona, last year’s race was pretty wild and we were in the middle of some of it during the middle of the race. We didn’t have a truck that handled as well there, so we were all over the place at times. Luckily there at the end Benson pulled out too soon, so I didn’t go with him. He got back in behind me again a little bit later there with the last lap. I tried to get a run through the last part of the corner on the last lap I think, and I wasn’t quite able to get the run that I wanted down the last straight chute. Hopefully we can be in a position the last few laps of the race and make the right move on that last lap to finish one position better than last year.” (more…)
