Billy Ballew Motorsports is once again bringing excitement to NASCAR fans in his 15th year of racing competition in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  After making his first start at the Bristol Motor Speedway in 1996 with a one truck team Ballew has grown into a multi-truck team owner.

Formed in 1996, Billy Ballew with the help of fellow Georgians, Tony and Mark Gibson, competed in their first race together at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for an ARCA RE/MAX event.  From there, the local Georgia businessman Ballew decided to live his dream and organize a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Team.

The team started competing full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2002 and has had a variety of well known NASCAR drivers over the years.  The list includes Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Aric Almirola, Brian Ickler, John Andretti, Kenny Wallace, Paul Menard, Bill Lester, Geoffrey Bodine, Joe Ruttman and a host of others.  It was Shane Hmiel who piloted the No. 15 for the 2004 season that brought Billy Ballew his first win at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the team’s 100th start in the NCWTS.  Since then Billy Ballew Motorsports has taken 16 more trips to victory lane.

The 2009 has been Billy Ballew Motorsports career best season with the No. 51 Tundra team posting seven victories, 12 top-five and 16 top-10 finishes placing Ballew in the second place position in the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Owners Points Championship.  The No. 15 Tundra team posted seven top-five and 10 top-10 finishes and gave Ballew his first one-two finish at Talladega Superspeedway in the team’s 300th-NCWTS start.

In 2010, Billy Ballew Motorsports anticipates with the vast amount of talent both teams and drivers possess, that victory lane will be visited once again.
